This is a 1981 expression of Smirnoff’s recipe No. 21. Smirnoff started circa the 1860s by Pytor Arsenyevitch Smirnov. Recipie No. 21 was created by his son Vladimir after escaping Russia during the October Revolution. An enjoyably smooth vodka, its maturation in the bottle might give it sweeter notes that wouldn’t normally be present.
