The Frankfort Distillery was established in 1902 and produced its own whiskey from 1910 to 1919. This bottle falls somewhere in those 9 years. With a rich history during and following prohibition, they were one of six distilleries during prohibition to be granted a medicinal permit. In 1922 what would become Four Roses bought the brand so they could have a medicinal license.
*Please note that this vintage bottle features a symbol that has ancient origins and was traditionally used to represent peace and prosperity across various cultures for thousands of years. However, it’s important to acknowledge that this symbol was co-opted and misused in the 20th century in a way that causes pain and suffering for many. We display this item to honor its historical context, not the hateful ideology it was later associated with.
